What can I do with RPGM 2?

The title of this thread is a rhyme.

Anyways, I'm getting ready to start a new RPGM game which is going to be a sorta-sequel to my RPGM1 game "Portal of Doom". I spent 3 years working with RPGM1 to make Portal of Doom, so I know it pretty well. But I also saw a used RPGM2 at the mall one day and after leaving the store it was in, I found $20 on the ground and took it as a sign to buy RPGM2. I haven't used it yet, but from what I've heard here everyone seems to think that RPGM2 is the most powerful. I need to know if it can do a couple things before I decide which RPGM to use for my next game:

    1. Can I make weapons/armor/accessories that affect more than one stat of the character using it? Example: Can I make a sword that increases Attack by 50, but lowers Speed and Guard by 15?
    2. Can I make a character's appearence change based on what class (or skill or whatever it's called) they are? Example: Can a character have the Knight Skill and look like a knight, but thrn change to the Wizard Skill and look like a wizard?
    3. How big can the maps be?
    4. How many different characters can you put in the game?
    5. Can you make a multi-memory card game like in RPGM1?

Kazuma: "And in spite of the way you look, you seem to be a real b****."

I never had a problem with map size. They are big enough, but if you want the coordinates of the biggest numbers I'll look 'em up!

    Limitless (limited by memory only).

I believe so, but never tried. I know it is tricky. The files need to be saved with the same date/time stamp or something like that.

RPGM2 is a bit complicated, but can be learned.

Read DungeonWarden's FAQ. It's great for learning what the system does with all the pre set stuff.

Also try Prima's guide if you can find it cheap. The pictures are the main attraction, but it also has other uses.

And the workshop here is full of helpful people.

    Good luck with it.

    Peace.

    MOO!

      4. How many different characters can you put in the game?
If I remember right, you can create up to 100 party members, and up to 1000 NPCs. Unlike RPGM3, you can use those NPCs in multiple places, even on the same map. It's highly unlikely that you'll use up either amount, though.
      3. How big can the maps be?
Field maps (forests, towns, world maps, etc) can be up to 256 x 256, with the ability to go off one edge of the map and appear on the other. Dungeon maps (insides of buildings, caves, etc.) can be 32 x 32 x 32 (yes, you can build up and have balconies and such).
Can you make a multi-memory card game like in RPGM1?
Aside from the trick that Rodak mentioned, there is also a built-in file change option. However, when you use it, it doesn't carry over levels and items and other stuff like that. If you want to carry stuff over, either use the trick, or use a password.
