Yeah, lots of people do this, and I'm doing it too.
My world needs to be populated.
Here's how you can be a person in it.
go through the RPG Maker XP RTP, and select a character sprite. Make sure it would fit in the game world (1940-1949 America). tell me which one it is, and give me your real name (no screen names will be used)
OR
go to the looseleaf character creation page and create a character, making sure that it would fit in the game world. print screen, paste in any image editor, crop to the very edge of the background color, save as bitmap, and repost in here, and give me your real name (yeah, no screen names).
finally, specify if your character is friendly, or unfriendly. This will decide where they are used.
you don't get to pick what your character will say. Characters will be used as NPCs only, will never join the main characters. first names will only be used in dialog, and last names will only be used when checking mailboxes.
