    Re: Final Fantasy V Advance

    I can't bite him?

So I got it. Seems to be just as a good of a remake that IV Advance was. The music seems better than I remember it. The graphics, like IV Advance, are subitly improved. There's a new translation that is a lot better than the fan ones or the Anthology one. Subtile and refinded like IV Advance's. Renna is back to Lenna. I havn't found any pop internet references yet like there were in 1&2, and IV, but I'm sure one will show up.

I'm not very far yet so I can't coment on difficulty or ATB gliches yet. There's 4 new jobs but the instruction doesn't tell anything about them... so I'm hope they're cool.

So yeah. If you liked IV Advance, you'll like this. Seems to be the best verison of this game avalible.

At the store I asked if they had FF V in yet and the guy was all like "You mean XII?!"

    "No... I mean V."

"You know that XII is out?"

"Yes, but I'm wondering if you have V."

    "I don't think so..."

    "Can you check?"

    "Oh. Here it is."

Also, the game has an auto-sprint which renders the Thief's sprint ability useless. That's okay. I'd rather sprint without wasting a ability spot but it's a strange choice.

Didn't they do the same thing with Anthologies?
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

I think they did. And they did the same thing in VI so sprint shoes were useless too.

Really? Because I vividly remember having to wear them in order to sprint. And the only version of VI I have played is the Anthologies version.

Got the thief ability. If auto-sprint is on and you hold down b you move 4 times as fast! Nice!

                  Also, I found this.

Scholar: Shiva was sealed up by the crystal's pure water. but don't take MY word for it - take a look, its in this book!

Gunner (a piratey job with explosives), Necromancer (new "Darkness" magic, also the character becomes undead. Cure hurts him and so on.), Prophet (heck if I know), and Gladiator (unique killing skills).

Scan is also renamed Libra to match XII.

is it just you and me loki?

i was leafing through the guide while i was waiting for my purchase to ring up, and interestingly couldn't find necromancer, though the other three were in there. i wish i had checked the back of the box, because i just assumed i had misread somewhere.

anyways, it's fun, it's awesome, it's final fantasy five!

The Necromancer doesn't show up until you beat an optinal boss, so it may have been included in the secrets section, or not at all because guides these days are ass.
