Re: Video games fill a void in my life...

Hey, get enough people like Funk and the whole "Grown men shouldn't play video games" stigma will go away.

I dont play as many games as I used to, partially for money reasons. That'll be changing soon though.

Oddly enough, I prefer handheld games over console games. if there's an accurate handheld port of a game, I'll play that before the console version.

I feel that way too. I've stopped playing video games twice now, and every time, life seems to get worse while I'm doing it.

When I was a WoW addict, video games made me more irresponsible and lazy and were bad. BUT I GOT MY TIER 1 SET LOL

When I'm hooked on a good RPG, or play games socially with friends, video games are good and healthy and provide the same motivation as they did when I was a kid (get all your chores done -> play games, get all your homework done -> play games).

...Sometimes. Other times I just use them as an excuse to procrastinate.

When I don't have school, most games are actually less fun to me unless they are social...

They did a study in Japan. Kids who play video games on average do better in school than those who don't.

Maybe I should show my mom this. That'd get her to stop btc'en about me playing video games. Hopefully. :P

Video games stimulate the mind and the senses. It's too bad people like Jack Thompson doesn't play more of them to curb his mental retardation.

That's why a good video game is like Brechtian theatre. It teaches you about reality while reminding you that it is NOT reality.

If I could, I would put him down with a brick in a sock.

Well, my life sucks so video games are one of the only things that make it better.

                            Yes, I know, I'm pitiful.

I'm pretty sure that Japan isn't as gaming-centric as some people think.
