    Re: PS3 Launch List

Sonic has been too intertaining ever since they decided to go 3-D. So I know I'm not going to be overjoyed by that one.

Apparently the Wii Sonic is a blast while the PS3/Xbox 360 Sonic is just a prettier Sonic Adventure.

So the PS3/Xbox360 one is pretty much Final Fantasy the Hedgehog.

            Wow that's crap.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

HEY YOU GUYS!! Some actual good news on PS3.

The last time there was supposedly some good news it was Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Somehow I didn't find a port of a game from last gen Xbox was all that thrilling but this is the real deal

Downloads are tied to a user account, so by logging in on another machine, all content that you have purchased is available for download at any time. So if you've purchased, say, a PS1 game on your PS3 and want to show it to a friend, you merely have to log in to your account on your friends machine and download it from your purchased items folder.
This will surely also help alleviate fears for those early adopters concerned that their downloads would get lost if their PS3 console breaks down. With this system in place, purchased content isn't tied to any particular piece of hardware. Whew.

                    Re: PS3 Launch List

I was only calling the ability to share downloads on more than one PS3 good news. The launch list and Talladega Nights are lame and the peripheral prices are indifferent but it was info. But I wanted to put a least one positive note amidst the seemling bottomless pit of Sony stupidity we've seen lately.

WHEE! Sony may not hit launch target units.
"The honest answer is it's more of a target'' for PlayStation 3 shipments, Jack Tretton, co-chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment America, said yesterday in an interview. "Clearly we've had production issues.''

Sony Corp., which slashed its profit forecast yesterday, said it may not reach this year's shipment target for the PlayStation 3 game console
They're talking about the 2 mil by year end target which everybody with a synapse has known for a while was just a pipe dream.

                          Re: PS3 Launch List

Another piece of good news, though a bit confusing.

We've known for a long time PS3 would be backward compatible but now you won't be limited by inability to find rare, old games since in the future, when the necessary software is completed, you'll be able to play the games that will be downloadable for PSP on the console as well. So if you never bought one of the PS1 classics and can't get a hold of the disc you could download it and play on the go and at home.

Now for the bits of confusion. (1) Will downloading to the PS3 be the only way to get PS1 games for the PSP? Does that mean you'll have to have a PS3 to enjoy the retro on the go? (2) I assume the games will be altered to accomodate the PSP's lack of right analog, L2/R2, and L3/R3 so would the games have the same simplified controls even when playing them with the full-buttoned Sixaxis?
