you moan about everything but you'll all likely have one in three years.
Not unless somebody gave me one and nobody gives me gifts.

      Re: Sony Downgraded.

For the sake of avoiding depression I'm now choosing to belive that all this bad stuff happening to sony is just a show. When it comes out it will work fine, and all the stupid things that they have been talking about won't have been implimented. And anyone who trys to convice me otherwise is a JERK.
      I don't have a signature.
      OK maybe I do.
But I'm just holding it for a friend I swear.

That wasn't my point, my point was that if the 600$ wasn't so comforting enough, now we hear this. Plus with Sony's past for malfunctioning systems.

True, which is why it's silly to buy this system at launch.

If enough people decide to take a "wait-and-see" stance, it could really put a mean dent into Sony's profits. It would depend on how long people decide to wait, though.

There will be overheating, DREs and malfunctions.

That article is making too big of a deal with the crashes. It should be expected early on, and launch systems messing up should also be no surprise.

anyone buying anything new at launch take that risk.

There shouldn't be a risk, though. I have never had a problem with launch or near-launch systems, except for the PS2.
(Systems I got within a year of launch: N64, GameCube, PS2*)

*does not count the launch SNES my grandfather got, or handhelds

My family bought our Gamecube a few months after it's release and it is just now getting some, but few DREs. Also, the DREs happen mainly cause the game was dirty.

Though, I just wait a few years anyway just to be careful(for everything else).

                              Re: Sony Downgraded.

Even if these systems do not over heat and crash, the 5 launch games that make it out by next month will be so buggy and craptastic anyways that it will be like the system crashing or wigging out.

less then 2 weeks ago there was an article on gamespot with the percentage complete on all the listed launch titles. None of them where past 80 to 90%.

20-40% of a game that needs to be delevoped in 2 months and somewhere in there is an alotted time for mass production.....uh yeah..

I'll always find it amazing that one's Nintendo system would fail while their Sony system doesn't. And I treat all my systems exactly the same. True, some of them get more use than others, but otherwise they're all sitting in their little enclosures, only getting dusted off when I feel like dusting them off (which maybe happens two or three times each year).
