    I think it's great that Age of Empires II is still being played--online, even.

              Just wanted to tell everyone about how I beat Dreamy and Jvr in a 3FFA.

              It was cool.

                I only lost because I got strained. While Caciss attacked my camp in mass, I surrounded him with 2 castles, chasing him off. I then decided to go for Dreamy, building some military buildings above the edge of his camp. While Im attacking (and doing quite good at first), Caciss returns to my own camp and attacks again. Dreamy begins to bring his forces to the site of my attacks and before I know it, I'm trying to fight on two fronts.

                I ended up running my gold into the red, wasting archers one at a time, in a vain attempt to fight off both. The smart thing wouldve been to pull out of Dreamy's camp and focus on my main. Who knows...maybe I wouldve gotten lucky and had Dreamy follow my units to my main and have him engage C-Dawg as well.

                I still need a long way to go.

                But yea, get it. Its great. And $30.

                  AOE III sucked. I bought it launch day and have never been more disapointed.

                      I agree. Plus you need a fairly high-end computer. I remember playing AoE2 on my old computer with 11MB VRAM and 126MB RAM. Good times.

                      I think the best thing about the expansion was the ability to pre-produce farms. At least it was one thing you didn't have to worry about when you got into a big battle.

                        If you consider the required specs for AOE 3 to be "high end", then I'd like to know what your definition of a standard gaming machine is.

                            I got age of empires2 gold edition and I will beat all of you. i'm just kidding I don't even know what i'm doing when I turn it on. but I would like to try the online play.
