It was okay once you figured out what each black dot was.

That game was super small. Like the smallest Mario you could think of.

This one however gives me more nostalgia than any other Gameboy game, other than Metroid II:

        ...and that's why.

yep! they're fun. the first one might be hard for the modern person to love, but the rest are straight up awesome. eventually they became the wario series of games, which are also super awesome.

                So much nostalgia...

                I loved Super Mario Land.

I was never impressed by Super Mario Land. But the second one was sweet.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

If you don't who will defeat the dreaded space alien Tatanka and rescue Princess Daisy?

6 Golden Coins was the most fun I ever had with Mario.
There is a level where there are fracking Goombas with bloody goalie masks!
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

I left my gameboy paused for several hours the first time I reached the last level on SML. I had to run an errand with my mom or something, and when I came back I was so upset because the batteries died. It was an interesting game, but nothing that special. I enjoyed some of the music, and the boss was different... but I probably wouldn't go back and play it again.

Anyone remember the Valiant comics that were based on Nintendo games? CRAZINESS!!!

                          DO I?!

There was one where a dude gets possesed by Tatanka through his gameboy and hijacks a space shuttle, right?
"Gotta open gateway... Gotta get Gameboy!"

And I had a Zelda one where Link gets the triforce of power from Ganon and it corrupts him and junk.

As soon as I can give out more reputation- POW!

What's really funny is that for a very short time, some of those books were selling for hundreds of dollars. I think it was because the new Valiant comics imprint had just hit it big again (there was a year or so where they had a following, for some reason) and the nintendo books were some of the very first stuff they published.

I had the big fat Valiant book collection. Captain N and Samus hit on each other!

I wish I still had it.
