From the people who brought you Simon Says: The Game... make way for Obese Rain!
I don't think anyone really knows anything about the game. Obviously, there's the "Casting Call" teaser, and I'm pretty sure one real trailer/teaser. I'm keeping up with it for the most part, and the only other thing I really know about it is that it is to be subtitled, "The Origami Killer," and that apparently, even if the main character dies, the game somehow continues.
That, and the game does use QTEs, but they are apparently supposed to be implemented a bit better than Indigo Prophesy. And I really had no problem with the QTEs or the control scheme in the latter, as a lot of what you had to do (swimming hard, controlling your breathing so you did not panic) takes a toll on the player, and was meant to simulate the reality of the event for each character, and how they would have been tired, worn out, or exhausted after their ordeal.
I really should turn on my 360 and play through Indigo Prophesy again for the first time. If I do that, at least my 360 will be good for something!
I actually had a copy of Afrika in my hand at this little mom and pop/growing chain video game store that deals somewhat in imports. I even played for a sec, but couldn't read Japanese, and couldn't figure out a way to get out of the tent.
It was $60, same as a new NA PS3 game, but I figured at the time that if it's out in Japan, it shouldn't be that long until it comes to North America. That was like 6 months ago.
And Mora...I'm as much if not moreso a real gamer as you are.
I came up in the Atari 2600 days, and have been playing the vidya ever since. There's yet to be a generation of consoles in which I've not owned at least one.
And even if I don't always PLAY games all the time, at least I have taste in purchasing games I'll probably never play, right?
