I bought both the Xenogears, SaGa Frontier 2, and Front Mission 3 ones from a street vendor in Japan. They're not great (mainly because I can't read them). It's really a collection of generic anime artwork and timelines and stuff. I guess if you're a serious collector you'll enjoy it.
Is it in English? I always wanted to get it, but I was afraid that it was only in japanese. Highwind, good luck finding it. I know it is too expensive for me.

Sadly, the best parts are also the fewest. There's a section that essentially like a working sketches of all the characters that's really coo - including goofy stuff, too, like a sketch that I THINK draws the similarities between Fei and Dan Hibiki - as well as some gear designs, but mostly it's storyboards and interviews that I can't read. I haven't seriously tried to read it again since I've learned what little Japanese I have, but I doubt things'll be much different.
I guess Japan learned how precious these books would be. That must be why the Advent Children art book is in Japanese AND English.
My friend has it. He can read Japanese. He says there are a lot of interesting things with the timeline of the series. It really paints the picture of where the series SHOULD have gone. ( or come from, rather )

Everyone can read japanese, no prob. This letter here looks like a "T" and that kinda looks like an "E"... on second thought, this isn't going to work out.
