    Re: Square @ E3

I am not excited in the least about FFXIII. I guess I'm an old fogey now, but Final Fantasy becoming an action RPG is now what I signed up for. Bring on Dragon Quest IX.

It looks pretty pedestrian, aside from the polygon count.
      That's the impression I got.

While FFXIII looks interesting, if its handled by the same team as X, it'll probably be good. Just as long they don't give us another Tidus. But already developing a sequel to it... Now that is whats retarded my friend.

I can't see any polies in those shots. It must be CG. But...why would they add a battle menu and a map to a CG...? But the hair...yeah, those closer-ups are definately CG.

I'm kinda wondering why they're showing off FF13 before DQ9, considering DQ8 was released before FF12 (or is that just outside Japan), thus they should be furthur along with DQ9. Unless Factor 5 is involved again. Which I honestly wouldn't mind.

Factor 5 also made Whatever: The Science Fiction RPG heading here this summer.

              Rogue Galaxy.

And it looks like Skies of Arcadia.

Final Fantasy XIII looks gay. I don't want to play as another stereotypical Lara Croft "I am woman hear me roar" rip-off character. I want to play as another cookie-cutter model of Cloud and Squall.

According to IGN, almost the whole trailer was done in real-time using in-game models. The only non-real-time segment was the train.

Anyone else still waiting for Sega to announce a sequel?

Heh, that'd be nice. Maybe at E3?

So can anyone repost the FFXIII pictures?
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Ah, I was wondering about the "golden frogs" reference.

That would make E3 even more worth it. Man, that was such an awsome game but they kinda abandoned it...
