      I finally was able to check out the links and I can say one thing... I will definitely buy this game once it comes out. I'm a big fan of the Shin Megami series and this one doesn't look too shabby. Now for me to eagerly await for the US release.

              I think it is that the cat is suppose to be in Nirvana (a different world, I believe) and at a time much further on in the future.

                Don't all the games pretty much cover the same ground in the Megami Tensei series?

                  Well the cat is a "part of" or is a god. So it wouldn't be too suprising if it is the same cat.

                    SMT2 is a direct sequel to SMT1, and SMT If... is a prequel to SMT1. After that...
