Talk about crazy. The group had a little Fighting game party last night. During the events we were given a demonstration of how broken Soul Caliber 3 is. It in fact, shouldn't have been released with this type of stuff. First we have the Canceled hold, which allows the character to cancel out the hold move, setting up the opponent for some unblockable combo damage. Then secondly we have the canceled parry animation, which causes the player to be already able to attack the opponent again. And there some other oddities, but all in all, I think everyone was in agreement that that was truly some broken piece of gaming.

So, I should be glad I stuck with SC2?"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

I dunno, it's been a while since I've played. Necrid the one looking for souls?"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Well either I'm a good button-masher or I just wasn't playing at a high-enough difficulty, because the most trouble I had in the game before I quit was in those temples where I fought those big guys with axes (and even then, I figured out how to get some of them down without taking a hit)."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. I didn't say you were. I just don't remember anybody that seemed too cheap. Been too long."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. I don't know, Heichachi seemed to fit in pretty well with the SC crowd. Even without an actual weapon he could still hold his own. Plus, I find it really easy to knock people out of the ring with him.Originally posted by GoufunakiSpawn kicked ass in SCII. He was my favorite.
Heihachi was really out of place, and I never got to play as Link.
Necrid was one of my favorite characters in SCII. I guess there isn't too much love for him out in the world. That poor... creature.Originally posted by The_Real_CrunkI loved Necrid.

Link was an interesting character, he had the full compliment of bow/bomb/boomerang attacks, which basically made him a distance fighter, but he was kinda weak at close range.
My favorite character was Mitsurugi in the original Soul Edge game, but they totally whacked him out in SC2... his attacks left such a huge opening for counter-attack. Boo.Last edited by Riotsword; 01-17-2006, 08:02 AM.
