    MGS3: Subsistence

I didn't get Snake Eater because I wanted to wait until after I played and finished Sons of Liberty. I did that recently but since Subsistence is coming out soon I'm definitely getting that instead of SE. Online multiplayer, third person camera view, secret theater "gag reel", 3-hour movie version of the plot, and best of all english versions of the original Metal Gear and MG2: Solid Snake! Too cool. But I'm wondering something. I only played Sons, was Substance as huge of an addition? Should I get it? All I can really remember reading was added were Snake Tales, VR missions, and the skateboarding. Also, I wish Twin Snakes would be ported to PS2, not to mention the REmake and RE0. I swear I'm tempted to buy a GameCube just to play those.

You don't want to play Twin Snakes, it's exactly the same only with features you really don't need, worse music, and the fact that the game is much easier.

And unless you have an XBox, you're never going to find Substance.

This game might prompt me into getting the network adaptor.

That and I love snapping people's necks.

I just want it to watch the cutscenes and plot with improved graphics. I don't care that the gameplay is the same but easier. In fact I'd gladly buy it just to watch all the cutscenes in the demo theater.

If that's your bag, then go ahead.

Furthermore, I strongly recommend you get Subsistence. After reading HIDEOBLOG and looking at all the effort they put intp it, not to mention the fact that the special Raiden movie is unlockable, I believe it's a fantastic deal. Especially if you want to be Kojima's love slave, like Valkysas (He's in love with all but one of his games, and in love with him most of all).

Beware of the network adapter: I bought one only to find out it won't work with school Internet.

Oh, and I hope this is the last topic someone makes on this game. Having, like, five threads per topic is silly.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Valkysas again.

Redneck and I were just talking about that today, mostly the scene where in the PS1 version, Snake jumps out of the way of that missile thing, and in the GC version, he JUMPS OFF OF THE MISSILE and SHOOTS A GUY IN THE HEAD IN MIDAIR.

Christ, he's amazing, but not goddamn superman.

Perhaps you may want to get the original PSX version for the sake of better control and purism.

Eh, both were good in my opinion.

I enjoyed Twin Snakes, but I dont see how redone cutscenes, better graphics, makes a game trash. Yeah the bosses and some areas are easier do to MGS2 gameplay that was implimented. But the cutscenes are some of the best in MGS games, the action scenes were redone by action movie director Ryuhei Kitamura, he directed great foriegn action films like Versus and Alive. Twin Snakes aint that bad of a game, it has some flaws for being an MGS game, but the game is still intact and is very fun to play.

May I remind everyone that Solid Snake broke his own chains and dover after a Metal Gear Ray--expecting, I suppose, to beat it into submission with his bare hands. The man just might be Superman.

Ryuhei Kitamura. The retard responsible for Versus.

And Godzilla: Final Wars, the Onimusha 3 opening, and a whole slew of sure-to-be godawful action pieces...

                              ...of ****.
