    Trauma Center: Under The Knife

I finally Gameflix'd Trauma Center. I've only gone through the first few operations so far. I'm already enjoying the surgeries but I could care less about the characters, at least at this point, it'll probably get more interesting. I wish there was an option to skip the nurses dialouge if you're repeating an operation, it just gets in the way if you already know what you're doing. Even the Challenge Mode where you repeat completed missions for a better rank, doesn't let you skip the explanations. Which leads me to another problem, I seem to get Rank C no matter what. When I screw up and nearly kill the patient I get a C, when I think I've done great I get a C. What's up with that?

Getting a great rank is very difficult in Trauma Center. If you get a C, even when you do it well, that means you aren't doing it fast enough. I've managed to get Bs and As along the way, but not on the first few operations for some reason.

You'll get some Bs eventually. But in the latter missions, you'll be thankful you can even beat them. It's a great game that makes excellent use of the touch screen, but it's very hard towards the end.

Did you ever beat Final Sin, Designy? It has driven me clinically nuts.

Edit- Oh yes, you can skip all cutscenes by pressing (SELECT], just not the in-surgery dialouge.

Haven't reached that chapter yet. I got stuck on mission 5-2 before I temporarily stopped to play Mario & Luigi. I'll get back to it someday.

I've gotten one S in Singing the Blues, and 3 As Standard Procedure 2, Life or Death, and Striving for Asclepius. Awakening, the one with the aneurisms, is an exercise in psychological torture.

The game is a lot of fun in an odd way. That particular mission (and probably the ones after it if I ever get past it to find out) is insanely difficult. Like so many games it's extremely frustrating until you get the hand of it and then it's fun again. I still don't care for the characters and story though which disappoints me but since you can skip through it and get straight to the surgery it's ok.

It's true too. It was always my fault when I killed people. Plust the characters and storyline did get a lot more interesting once you get to where it actually starts. I had the game as a rental and as soon as I get some money I'll be buying it. It has a lot of replay value since it's one of the few games that I really did want to keep replaying missions for a better rating.

Savato requires more luck then skill. If he decides to produce too many bugs you're screwed.
