Re: Final Fantasy 3+5+6 screens
Okay, the music's changes as well. Though I can't really tell if I'll like the remixed tunes or not since they kept switching between the songs so much.
It must've been a while since I last played through the game. I don't remember a castle in the desert, unless that's one of the new places."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

1up.com goes in-depth detailing all the new crap in IV, including a re-re-repolished script, name consistencies and the ability to choose between nine characters for the final dungeon, among other things.

Re: Final Fantasy 3+5+6 screens
Because S-E knows that they'd have about a couple million angry FF4 fans at their doorstep if "YOU SPOONY BARD" wasn't included in the translation. Though, it kinda makes me wonder, if FF4 had never been translated so badly, what would that line be instead?while a few classic lines remain untouched from the Super NES editionAll of a sudden I'm having high hopes for this edition. I was expecting the difficulty to be dumbed down like it was for FFI&II Advance. While Final Fantasy I & II received pretty massive overhauls for their GBA remakes, FF4 was the first "modern" Final Fantasy game and didn't have as far to go to reach current standards. In fact, the action was reverted back to match the original Japanese edition; FF4A eschews the toned-down challenge level of the U.S. SNES release. It wouldn't have been so painfully primitive had they replaced it with its own extended FMV that appears smack-dab (and out of place, IMO) in the middle of the ending. The painfully primitive full-motion video of the PS1 game has been discarded altogether.
Too bad I have to wait until Christmas to play this.Last edited by ErikaFuzzbottom; 11-29-2005, 09:19 PM."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Final Fantasy 3+5+6 screens
Uh-huh. I'd like to make a quick comparison between a couple lines between FFII US and FFIV PS1.
Upon giving the Water Crystal to the King:
FFII - "Real Crystal??"
FFIV - "You have done well, Cecil. Dismissed."
Or something along those lines. Personally I think that the new translation is much better. There's only two problems I had with it; the first being that they totally omitted the conversation between Cecil and the Mysidian elder in the flashback, the second was that I liked this part of Cecil's and Kain's conversation shortly after being assigned the new mission to Mist Cave in the old version.
Cain: "What is it?"
Cecil: "I'm sorry."
Cain: "Oh, will you cut that out?!"
Oh, and there's also the fact that the old version's "Package" sounds a whole lot less suspicious than the new version's "Bomb Ring". And the swearing seems very out-of-place.
Okay, so the new translation isn't without its faults, but I like the new translation overall better than the SNES one."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change.
