Yes the odds are against him doing such but I doubt that many Senetors read Penny-Arcade or VG Cats or go to gamepoliticks.com. And what if Jack Thompson actually wins a lawsuit against TakeTwo or Best Buy? I'm not saying the sky is falling, but Bush was reelected by bible thumpers because he said God told him to go to war with Iraq. Our nation as a collective is extremely retarded on this matter. I mean how close did we come to have a freaking constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage. Just having the issue voiced scared the crap out of me. I read the Reader's Digest article he talks about and while it didn't condemn videogames outright, there wasn't very much support on the videogames side.
And having dozens of gamers call the Florida State Bar to complain about Jack Thompson is perfect.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

If there was ever an appropriate time to play the Phoenix Wright court victory tune and yell "OBJECTION!!!" and "TAKE THAT!!!", now would be it.

A lawyer with Blank Rome said Thompson was incapable of proceeding with civility and said he would "turn the courtroom into a circus."

To which Thompson responded, "I didn't start this food fight. They started it and I have a right to respond because, believe it or not, I have a life outside of this case."
Way to go Thompson. You just proved his statement.
        ...and that's why.
