Honestly, I expected this. I'd only be able to handle it if (for example) Miyazaki did an animated version of it, with Ueda writing the script and helping with the language. (Supposedly, it's Japanese played backwards or something. Rumor AFAIK.)

If this movie turns out to be crap, then we can always have fun! Lynch mobs are fun, aren't they?

The language is a mixture of Latin and Japanese with backwards grammar. So it barely makes any sense to them as much as it does to us.

There's no way that Hollywood would allow such a thing, especially coming from the director of the Scorpion King. The pit of my stomach turned over itself and cringed as I read that.

Seriously, **** like SotC does not translate well to any medium, let alone film. I don't care what anyone does with it, it will only make it worse. Don't mess with perfection, I say. Leave it alone.

Wolfgang Peterson? Augh. Just get the Pan's Labyrinth guy to do it, or Peter Jackson and WETA (after they do all the other cool fantasy video game movie adaptations [SOUL REAVER]).

Anyway, I don't know what you guys are crying about; there was already a Shadows Of The Colossus movie in 2007.
