Half-Life 2 is amazing. And I never even played the first one. I enjoyed the campaign for Halo 1 a lot, but HL 2 blew it away. Didn't play Doom 3, but I find the notion of it exceeding a Half-Life title in any aspect dubious.

Legend of Dragoon. Horrible graphics, boring story, awful sound effects. The killer for me was the terrible dialogue. It was so flat and boring. I've played a lot of RPGs, and I hate a lot of them, but this is the biggest turd of an RPG I've played.

I always wanted to like Legend of Dragoon, but I just couldn't, especially after seeing this:

I remember a lot of moments in Half-Life 2 but no moments in Doom 3.

To put in in laymen's terms I felt HL2 tried to straddle being a video-game and a movie at the same time, which is stupidly hamstrung with your silent protagonist.

While Doom 3 was purely a video game and knew it.

I know I'm in the minority with this, so I really don't give a spit if no one agrees.

Yeah, that definitely wasn't how I read it. But then I'm a console gamer, so I never think about system requirements. All of my games have the same operating requirements: a functioning console of the appropriate type, a working copy of the game, two thumbs, and a pulse. PC gaming can suck it.

Or maybe I just say that because my PC is so decrepit that it could not even run a game made in 2003 when I tried to install it. It had crashing issues just dealing with Fallout 2.

I think you guys ******* on Halo have some subconscious hipster-factor because its so popular; yeah its formulaic and unoriginal but I'd have a hard time calling the games bad.

I'm gonna be a weirdo and say Eternal Champions. Looked pretty and like it could have been a rival to Street Fighter. Oh how it wasn't.

It's not just the fact that it's popular and critically acclaimed, it's the fact it doesn't deserve all the praise it gets.

....don't assume we don't like it because we're subconscious hipsters. It's not super bad, but it's not great either. Just another pay and play shooter that fails to have much replayability.
