Re: Journey (First trailer up now)
Kinda what I figured. So this one took them three years. Then again, Flower may have also taken three years, even though there were only two years between flOw and Flower, due to the fact that flOw was a port.
And how is it that I knew nothing about the closed beta until after it had begun?

YESSSS!!!
Journey FINALLY has a release date!!!
God, I've waited so long for this, and it's now less than a month away. I'm ecstatic.

Re: Journey-Release date announced! March 13!
True and not true at the same time. There ARE some PSN games that are labelled for cross-platform play on both devices, but Journey was not listed as one. Plus, this is an online/single player game similar to Demon's Souls, so it really would not work all that well.

Re: Journey-Release date announced! March 13!
I'll try my damndest to contain my excitement.
Also, funny about the Demon's Souls comparison I made above...when they first announced a year or a year and half ago now how the online was going to work, it immediately brought to mind Demon's Souls. I just read an interview related to Journey last night, and Jenova Chen mentioned both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls as influences during the game's production. He went so far as to intimate that more developers should be taking this route with their online aspect, as it's slowly changing the paradigm (my words, not his) of online gameplay.

Reviews up now, glowing across the board.
I'm gonna resist the temptation to read any of them at this point, though. Seeing so many perfect scores brought a huge, huge smile to my face, and let me know that the wait will have been justified.Last edited by Perversion; 03-02-2012, 06:25 PM.

Re: Journey-Release date announced! March 13!
I think if I still had a PS3 this would've been my first PSN purchase. First time I watched a video and read that it was from the developers of Flower I was intersted. I played the demo for Flower and it was surprisingly engaging. Journey seemed to be a similar experience with more "game" to it. Then I started to read glowing p/reviews. But, alas, I no longer have the necessary hardware so it doesn't really matter how interested I am.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!
