I'm sure Little Big Planet 2 will probably be my game of the year.

And yes, I think it will revolutionize gaming.

My answer for WKC still stands.


Apparently, I purchased it this month sometime (if my above posts are any indication), and when I saved before shutting down today, I believe I had just about 130 hours on my save file. And I'm nowhere CLOSE to being done or doing everything there is to do.

Nah, anyone that's actually really good at the creator, we'll probably just see them make rip-off games like we saw with LBP1. It's a lot easier to get people to play your game if you make it like something else.

Played enough. I know there were a few good original games out there but a majority of the games were recreations of other games in the LBP builder, or just plain horrible.

Metroid Fusion was pretty mediocre, and it had Adam, and Samus spoke, and there was more story involved.

Metroid Other M looks to be about the same.

There's a reason we love Super Metroid, Prime, and Zero Mission. It's a flavor of isolated, moody action/adventure that pulls us in. If I wanted action and story with a pretty anime girl in it, I'd play something else. I wouldn't look to Metroid for that~

My old answer no longer stands. Etrian Odyssey III is my new GOTY. Sorry I keep harping on this game in any topic I can mention it, but it really is that good. I've read from other people (not reviews) that this game has more depth than most console games, and that's pretty much an (almost) undisputable fact.

I'm actually really dismayed that this is easily the best game in the series, and yet its review scores on average are lower than the first two. I chalk that up to people just now jumping on the bandwagon, and being intimidated by the difficulty. Honestly, so far, this is a walk in the park compared to the first two. Then again, I was reading tonight that the game doesn't show its true colors until after the second stratum.

Some reviewer was complaining that there were no save points in the dungeon, and that he got to x point, and died, and lost the last hour of progress, aside from it saving map data. Why should the game get dinged by someone who obviously has no idea how to play the game? This series is right up there with Demon's Souls with its risk vs reward tradeoffs, with its difficulty level, and more importantly, with its emphasis on careful planning and brutal punishment for reckless decisions. Yeah, it's turn-based, not real time, but that does not make it any less tense. During any number of battles, I find myself constantly cringing, or nodding my head at an expected outcome.


I really cannot emphasize enough that if you own a DS, like RPGs, and especially if you came up in the NES/SNES or Amiga/C64/Apple II days, you are doing yourself a disservice by not checking this game out.

EOIII looks interesting, I dig the aesthetics. With 4 Heroes of Light and A MILLION OTHER GAMES on my lap I dunno if I'll touch it for a while.
