I think you went over the "I don't have any video-games" a little too much. But it's a first video and I am sure that was just to drive the point home.

I found your Uninformed Video Game Reviews on the blog to be much more entertaining and I feel that the Jerry character would be better off if he talked like he did play the games, but got every aspect about them wrong.

Like professional reviewers.

Nah, it's different. Truth Media reviews are set up to seem like real ones (despite having a disclaimer in each one that a surprising number of people miss, which is part of the point), they just get lots of details wrong (grammatical errors, misspelling names, talking about things that didn't happen or completely misconstruing them) and then give a mediocre score, despite it usually being something people love (they only do it for bigger games and movies). Then they post the inevitable flames from people who took the review at face value.

this stuff intrigues me, and i now with to get my own video camera to make stuff like this...but unfortunately, i'm horribly un-photogenic, and the few times i've thought I was, i usually had this HORRIBLE smile on my face that looks like i'm smiling and frowning at the same time.

Wow, late to the game. I was too, but not quite that late, I saw it for the first time in January of '09. And this thing is crazy, given the length and attention to detail involved. Notice that the 8-bit soundtrack is downloadable there as well.

Well, that was the initial debate that I had. I thought about going full tilt and creating ridiculous reviews based on completely oblivious knowledge but decided it might seem frivolous.

For anyone that hasn't read the original "Uninformed Reviews" I basically just fabricated the game reviews based off the titles. Here's an example...

Donkey Kong

In 1965, President Eisenhower commissioned Japan’s best and brightest to develop a machine to fight communism. The result was a yellow dot, stuck in a maze with ghosts and other dots. They called it “Ronkey Rong” which is Japanese for Donkey Kong.
Score – 10.9327

I think that the clips are an important part of breaking up the videos so being really obtuse with the reviews would just be confusing - don't you think?


EDIT: Also, I agree I mentioned the "I can't play the games" too much but - yeah - I really wanted to drive that point home and establish it. It won't happen as much in the future.

Jerry Bloop is good, but my favorite videos are the "creek speak" ones.

I must say that this was quite enjoyable. There were a few parts in it that felt that it went too long before the next bit of humor. However, as you said, rambling is part of his character. I honestly didn't think that I would enjoy this. I was pleasantly surprised.

Ah weird - I didn't know anyone was really into that series. I simply use it as a means of getting strange thoughts out of my brain.
