Rephrase: All the music games where mastery is achieved through repetition of a simulated real life skill that doesn't actually carry over into real life. I still find it hilarious you can beat those karaoke games simply by matching the pitch. You can, in effect, throat sing through every pop song they stick in there.

It isn't enough to say you loathe a terrible series. Anyone can look and agree with you. You have to loathe something that other people might enjoy.


I for example, loathe all the no-name hyper-anime RPGs that have flooded the PS2 walls of the gamestore of late. This includes anything Shin Megami Tensai, the Wild Arms series, and Xenosaga.

Yes, I don't like Persona 3 or 4. I haven't played them, and I don't want to.

I was expecting the same usual stuff from ODST, but then a coworker was talking about how differently it plays from the other games since you're not this super soldier, and that your health didn't regenerate on its own, and other things he really liked about the game.

I'm ashamed to admit, part of me is actually curious, but I'm not gonna go out of my way to rent/buy the game. If there's a demo, I'll try that.

But what bugged me about Halo was all the high jumping, the laser like weapons that didn't feel like it did any actual damage, how quickly health filled back up. I played a bit of the 1st and 3rd game, and it just feels so average. I never understood the hype.

Halo is only good for the multiplayer aspect. And even then, you're better off with CoD4.

I guess I dislike Halo, Dead Space and Gears of War for reasons I can't accurately explain. I guess I'm not big on the macho shooting stuff.

I'm not big on Rockband and Guitar hero because of how much space all that stuff takes up and how goofy you look using it.

I cringe at Warcraft and Starcraft style RTSs, probably cause I can't play them. There are way too many things to manage, and there's no way I will invest the time learning them all now.

I vehemently despise hunting games, like the Cabela's Big Game ones, because I so dislike the "sports" they're based on.

I loathe Left 4 Dead, as it stole all of my online Halo 3 friends who got addicted to it. I never have and never will have any interest in zombies. They're just dumb and boring.

As for what I loathe? Dead Space, Halo, any of the Plastic Toy guitar games. World of Warcraft for no real reason other than I have no patience for it.

I also dislike Halo. Its just sooooooooo average and generic. Not to mention the way you move makes it feel like you are piloting a hover tank and not a living creature.

The game is just far too sterile. Theres nothing all that exciting about it. Even all the "boss" fights are boring or tedious as hell.

I'm on the halo hate band wagon as well. Its generic-ness is even more grating because of all the undeserved hype it gets. I was so ****** when Half-Life 2 beat one of the Halos for FPS of the Year, yet the Halo game got Game of the Year. How can it be the best game of the year when it isn't even the best shooter game?

I keep trying to get into the Final Fantasy games, but it just isn't happening. Crisis Core is turning out to be pretty fun though. I can't say I loathe them.

I don't understand sports games. They put out a new one each year, and they make almost no changes, yet sell millions of copies to a bunch of idiots.
