the Sword of Moonlight has always been their mascot. Debuted in the first King's Field, was in all the sequels, all the Armored Core games, and more recently in Demon's Souls. I haven't checked, but it's likely in all their games that they could put a sword in (I don't think it's in Echo Night: Beyond, for example).
years back they even created a KF game creator for the PC. titled "Sword of Moonlight".
So is anyone picking this up today? I'm off work today, so tomorrow on my birthday, while I wait for my dad to pick me up to go out for dinner after work, I'll go to Gamestop and pick up my preorder.
I will get it. But if I get it this month depends on if a certain transformer comes out this month or not (Masterpiece Grimlock is supposed to be showing up soon).
They (to no surprise) reference the first Zelda game right off the bat by quoting from it in the begining. Right before the king gives you a sword and shield he says, "It's dangerous to go alone, take this."
My brother got it for his birthday today, and it seems pretty decent, but I haven't seen too much of it.
Twothorp was in immense pain. The blisters did not care.
Wonderful wonderful wonderful. I had a smile on my face a good portion of the time I've played this so far. If you came of age in the NES days, you owe it to yourself to play this. The 8 bit RPG/Zelda/etc references and cliches that the game pokes fun at (or makes homages to) are well worth playing this game to experience.
And d2king10, you can keep your god damned Borderlands.
