Nippion Ichi games always have the worst music ever. It's like baroque/anime/elevator non-music.

My roommate would play Phantom Brave's OST to me as punishment.

            Re: Disgaea 3

I had to turn on the radio while grinding in the original Disgaea.

I've never really had to do that with any other game, though...

Never found the music in Nippion Ichi games to be bad, but they do get a bit repetitive

Anyway, after playing through the game a bit, I must say it is alot of fun. The main character is more or less a very delusional nerd. It does get a bit annoying that he keeps saying that he is the Number 1 Honor Student. Alright, I get it. You are the bad of the bad, stop telling me that over and over. The whole "demon logic" is a bit convoluted with the whole delinquents are the goodie tooshoes. All and all the game is pretty fun... at least it is so far. I just started Chapter 3.

No, I haven't spent 400 hours on the game yet.

No, but the original Disgaea will make it onto the DS. Doesn't make much sense to me, seeing as it is also on the PSP, but I guess they like making money or something.

Since we're talking about Disgaea here, I just beat the first one last night, and got the "normal" ending, at level 94.

Is it even worth it to keep going, really? Isn't it just the same thing but with increasingly larger numbers? I'm not terribly sure I want to power-level all of my characters to the 6000-ish levels I'd need to have a chance against Prinny Baal.

I remember not being nearly strong enough to Kill Baal, but was able to do so by having a "sacrificial" character grab him so he couldn't do anything. Then I pounded away at him with Laharl.

It's best to just focus on one character until you start breaking those level barriers, then once you do thet the levels come pouring in and you can do team attacks to have weaker character get their share of EXP with kills.

                                That, and Ultimate Weapons.
