    And the award goes to...

I like games. A lot. You all know that. If you're reading this, you probably do to. If you're bored, stop reading.

That aside, if for 5 systems, you could give and award for best game, what would it be?

    NES- Super Mario Bros. 3
    SNES- Chrono Trigger
    Genesis- Sonic The Hedgehog 2
    PS1- Final Fantasy VII
    Wii- Super Smash Bros. Brawl
N64- Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
PS2- Ratchet And Clank: Up Your Arsenal

I don't understand any of this, but I say SNES had the best game library ever.
          So, my vote's for Ficus.

I was gonna do this, but I think the best measure of a system is not what its best game is, but how many great games it supports. Also, making lists is dumb.

              That said,

              Dreamcast: Soul Calibur
Gamecube: Would've been Resident Evil 4, but I guess I'll say Super Smash Bros. Melee
              Game Boy: Link's Awakening
Game Boy Advance: Wario Ware Twisted
Neo Geo Pocket Color: SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millenium

Best Game Boy game was Wario Land 3.

I dunno, how much trade-in credit could you get for Wario Land 3?

To follow Vak's lead, but I'm gonna list my personal faves, not necessarily the BEST games for each system, and I'll only list systems I've owned at some point, and in the approximate order of purchasing said system.

                              Pong: Pong
Atari VCS (2600): Four way tie-Pitfall, Superman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and E.T....yes, I actually liked that game quite a bit.
NES: Baseball Stars, SMB3, and Metroid
                              GB: Nobunaga's Ambition
                              SNES: Ogre Battle and Civilization
N64: Zelda OoT, Mario 64, Ogre Battle 64
Dreamcast: PSO, Skies of Arcadia, and Shenmue. Second tier would be Worms World Party, Seaman, and Ooga Booga.
GBA: Tactics Ogre, FFTA, and WarioWare
Xbox: Morrowind, PSO Ep 1 and 2, Gladius, and Top Spin Tennis. Probably also Indigo Prophesy and Psychonauts.
Gamecube: Animal Crossing (and, to cheat a bit), Skies of Arcadia Legends and WarioWare Mega Microgame$
PS2: RPGM3, and....ummm.....that's about it (even though I own probably 25 games for the system).
DS: AC:WW, Mario Kart DS, Meteos
Xbox 360: Rock Band, Viva Piņata, and give me another year or so (it'll probably take me that long to actually start playing it), and I'd probably add Bioshock.
PS3: Pixel Junk Monsters, Everyday Shooter, flOw
                              PSP: Patapon.

I've never owned a PSX, although after I bought my PS2, I did acquire PSX games. I did not include them, though, as I've never owned that system.

So, what can I deduce about my systems? 1) If only one game is listed, I've either not played enough games on the system to make a judgement (PSP, even though I have about 12 games for it), or, to me, there was really nothing else there to hold my interest (PS2). 2) My favorite systems, based solely on games, would probably have to be the Dreamcast and the original Xbox, followed by the GBA, and then probably the Atari 2600. 3) As much as I LOVE my PS3 (in terms of actually enjoying all of its capabilities, and not basing it solely on games, I'd probably put it right after the Dreamcast, and right before the original Xbox), what's made the system for me so far is the downloadable games.

Sorry. I could not answer with just one game for each system.
