Wow. Of all things to come out of left field, this one definitely fits the bill. I mean, how nuts.

This is pretty cool news. I've been playing the hell out of Mega Man X2 and X3 lately, beating them in all sorts of fashions, like no armor powerups(special weapon colors in Mega Man X2 are too good to be covered up by those awful non-colored armor powerups. I mean, Sonic Slicer? Love that color combo! It gets to the point where you actually have to look at the icon next to his life bar to be able to tell what special weapon you have equipped).

              Re: MEGA MAN 9.

Seeing as how Capcom has a long history of publishing Mega Man games for the most popular console of the time (NES over anything else, SNES over Genesis, Playstation over N64 or Saturn, etc.), I kinda doubt it. BUT MAYBE YOUR PLEA HAS SWAYED THEM, RICK

So we just got news of it got an Australian rating? Hm. Color me cautiously optimistic!

I just got Mega Man Anniversary Collection so this is cool timing.

Knowing Capcom's latest business plans, probably all three consoles. The anniversary and X collection saw a cube/ps2/xbox release so why not the latest MM game?

Gosh. Wow. I'm psyched. I've been clamoring for 9 for what feels like forever.

I hope there is going to be a lack of story sequences. Just give me 8 robots and some Wiley levels please.

Let's all make predictions on the robot masters. I'm confident in saying that this game will mark the return of Needle Man!

Oh man, I forgot how hilarious the robots where.

They all started out as helpers right? There'll probably be Sanitation Man, Receptionist Man, and Civil Service Worker Man.

For a unique twist, Capcom would include a female boss robot named Wo-Man or Woman Man (a ****** bot).

                        Re: MEGA MAN 9.

                        This made my day.

I wonder, though. Since Mega Man Battle Network borrowed and redesigned bosses from the classic series, might Mega Man 9 feature redesigned Battle Network bosses? I think it's highly unlikely, but it's a possibility.

I should note that for every game in the classic series, barring the first one, there was a create-a-robot contest in which kids (and overgrown adolescents) sent their ideas for bosses to Capcom. Artistic talent is completely irrelevant, though, as the idea is what counts (you'll find that some of the winning drawings for the Mega Man 8 bosses that appear in the ending credits are crudely drawn). The only bosses Mr. Inafune designed himself are the six bosses from Mega Man, Tengu Man and Astro Man from Mega Man 8, and Oil Man and Time Man from Powered Up.

Unless they're breaking away from tradition, I think we can expect another create-a-robot contest. Maybe they'll even let western players participate.

                          the registration thing says "multiplatform".

It better not be a downloadable title, dammit. I want to display this thing with the others.

What if you could copy it to a flash card or disc or something, label it and make a case for it?

you can't do that with PS3 or 360 games.

and I need a real package. I keep one of every classic game sealed. how do I keep a downloadable game sealed?
