I'll bet you got that pic from the same site that Snarf linked to earlier this week or whatever. I'm pretty sure that's where I saw it for the first time.
Cracked.com? NEVER thought about going there (didn't know it existed, actually), but it's pretty funny. And like it or not, now that EGM is kaput, Seanbaby is writing for that site.
Oh, picked up BlazBlue today, so if Mora doesn't join in the festivities, you can smack on me instead. Granted, that wouldn't compare to smacking Mora, but meh.
Brought this over to my buddy's house after work. Between him, his brother, and his brother's friend, we probably played for about 4 hours. In between switching off between all of us, his brother's friend had his 360 hooked up to a 22" PC monitor, and was playing arcade mode on the 360 version, while we played on their 56" Mitsubishi DLP. Good times.
Also, I'm not a fighting game conneisseur by any stretch of the imagination, but I would have to say this is one of, if not the best fighting game I've ever played (sole exception POSSIBLY being Soul Calibur II). I went into it button mashing, and got creamed. I do like that you actually get penalized going in with the button-mashing mindset. It forces you to be a bit more precise with what you are doing, or you'll be in "danger" for pretty much the whole match.
As of now, the characters I do the best with are (pardon me for not knowing the names....it was like 4 in the morning when I started playing) the female cat thing, the chick with the guns, and Rachel Alucard. I was fairly unstoppable with the cat against my buddy until he used the guy with the ice ability.
Anyway, I really do hope to get online with this soon.
No, Bang is the best character only because he has his own theme song. But it's actually an easy game to get into. my cousin came over today and he picked up on how to play in under 2 hours and he hates fighting games. We had a good time.
Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.
First fighting game I've played online (well, I tried Soul Calibur IV online for about 10 minutes and got creamed so I never tried again), and I held my own. Played a guy on my friend list with a bit more experience (he was lvl 6, I was lvl 1), and he had 4 wins to my 3....but then my thumb was already sore, and I started to suck and lost the next 3 matches.
That and he was using Jin and Ragna almost exclusively, so yeah.
Besides the obvious stereotype of my choosing Rachel because she's a loli, she's actually a lot of fun to play as.
EDIT: We could not stop laughing last night when Bang did whatever move that was, because we were listening through his home theater receiver, and besides it increasing like 3 times in volume, it just sounded all dischordant. Reminded me of a Japanese version of Queen or something.
