those are the stores you dont buy from. does canada have better customer service too? i gave awesome service when i worked for the home depot. quite sad that a rep cant take the time to look up when the next shipment might be or even to see if there is a wii hidden somewhere.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!
Card Three is released! You can find it here!

Yeah, when I acquired my PSP I called beforehand, the employee said there was one, and lo and behold, there was indeed one. Apparently it was the one retail outlet in the nation that does not wish only to deceive customers and keep them from coming to the store to actually make a purchase. Well, not necessarily the only one, since I have had similar experiences looking for things at the local Target and Gamestop. Must be an isolated pocket of decent service adrift in a sea of duplicitous clerks who are in league with the Legion of Evil Scalpers.

always ask for whoever answered the phones name when you call. then if they tell you that they dont have any in stock, ask to speak to a supervisor or manager, get their name, tell them what happened, and then ask ask if they know when they might get X in next, or some other question.

then when you are on your shopping routes, go to the stores that dont have any in stock and check if they have it in stock. if/when they do, ask for who you spoke to and explain your situation to them.

i have people do this to me all the time (i work in retail). i even have people who will ask someone to check if something is in stock in the back, and then they will go ask someone else the same question, making us waste our time. its understandable though.

If people ask me for the wii on the phone I chuckle, say "good luck" and hang up on them.
