Getting Music/Movies onto a PSP

Is there anyway to get your DVDs or music CDs onto your PSP? Like onto the memory card? I'm sure there must be some legal way to do this, because under Movies and Music in the PSP menu there's a memory card option, and if you click on it, it says there are no tracks/videos.

I know how to hook the PSP up to the computer with a USB cord, and I've been able to transfer save files to and from the PSP, as well as put pictures from the computer onto the PSP, but what about music and movies?

Also, I use a mac, so it might very well be different for windows users, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I remember reading somewhere this is possible but I can't figure out how it is.

Music goes in the "MUSIC" folder inside your PSP folder.

for videos, they have to be MP4 format (also of a certain codec, which I cannot remember the name of), and they go in the VIDEO folder in the root directory (not inside the PSP folder).

If you don't have these folders, just make them.

You used to have to make a folder called MP_ROOT and then a folder in there named 100MNV01, and then put video files with special file names in there. I'm glad those days are over.

You can convert video files to the PSP's format with a lot of different software, and since you're on a mac, you should use "ipsp", which can be found on google.

for DVDs, you'd have to rip the video from the DVD, and then convert it, which isnt legal, but people do it anyways.

if he was using Windows he could use PSP Max Media Manager http://www.fileplanet.com/159021/150...-Media-Manager which puts videos and pictures in the right folders automaticly
