    Hellgate: London

Screw the reviews, this game is fun!!!

It's one of those Online Action RPGs that doesn't feel like an MMO because you actually control your attacks...actually aim to shoot, control your sword swipes, blocking, special attacks, etc. That extra bit of control makes it all the difference. It's like Diablo taken to the next level.

Then again, I should mention that this is way more fun playing with friends, and there isn't an online fee. Give the demo a shot if yer interested.

Do you have to buy the game, or can you download it?

Edit: Never mind, I checked myself.

Yeah, i played the demo and it is cool, but i wouldnt buy it until it got down to $30 or so. Maybe it just got dull because i was playing the single player mode by myself and didnt have friends to help in multiplayer, but it just got a bit dull.

I like Diablo II, even if that game is repetitive boring x, so I will probably enjoy this but I'm not gonna probably ever get around to buying it.

I dunno. I'm the odd bird who's not the largest fan of FPSes on PCs (I've never gotten the hang of the WASD) and the game looks kind of ugly to me.

I will admit the Diablo heritage still interests me.

Most games let you configure the controls however you want, though.

I might check it out. I usually don't get into games that force you to team up with other people, though, which seems to happen in 90% of MMO's.

Hence the second M in MMO.

                  This isnt an MMO though.

Nice to see a game that has drifted away from the typical hack-n-slash point-n-click type of game. The more interactive the battle system the better.

My Guild Wars guild is starting up a guild in this.

I think I'll just stick with Guild Wars though...

I just don't like the over-use of random enviroments. Why can't they just take the time to make specific areas that stand out?

Sir, making a random environment takes a lot more time.

                            Not for me!

When you start having to take into account reflexes, you lose a lot of the RPG appeal.

The idea is so a second play through isn't an exact replica of your first play through... and, yeah, a random enviroment does take longer.
