    Clock Tower

An unnoticed gem. Unlike other survival-horror games, the player did not fight zombies or monsters. Instead, the player was chased and stalked by Scissorman, a guy with huge scissors TRYING TO FRIGGIN KILL YOU!

I think there are 3 titles. 1 for Snes.

    Has anyone played these games?

I thought the whole point and click interface was way boring.

Yeah, Clock Tower 3 gave the player free movement. But I bet that killed the suspense..

I thought the first one on PS1 was really good. The second was alright, but felt like there was really no logic at all to the progression through the game. The one on PS2 was pretty good, and would have been great if the boss battles didn't ruin the premise of being a defenseless girl battling horrific murderers.

Hey, I think I actually remember a magazine ad for 3. Freaky.

The first Clock Tower was really scary with the music that played when ever Sissorman came near.

I have a copy, but sadly it was too scratched up where I can't seem to fix it without some device, if even that.

I wish I could find another copy.

I have only played 3. I gotta say that I enjoyed it and there were a couple freaky parts. Nothing along the lines of Fatal Frame or Silent Hill though.

I just don't get horror games. The only one's I liked were Parasite Eve (I liked the premise) and Hunter Wayward because it is like Champions of Norrath with Zombies.

I realize none of these are shooters.

Parasite Eve was excellent though I have never heard of Hunter Wayward.
What kind of horror is it?
Survival by offense or survival by defense?

Both I guess. Just think Champions of Norrath, or Balders Gate with undead instead of Goblins, and Crappy game play instead of OK game play.

                              I liked Clock Tower 3.

Instead of killing zombies and monsters, you spent your time running away from zombies and monsters and trying to survive.

I'd like to see this approach done again, but better than the way #3 executed it.
