When playing Halo it reminded me of playing an odd mixture of Battlefield and Quake. To tell the truth I would rather play either or, not some offspring of both.
no, the driving controls in halo have always sucked.
I agree wholeheartedly.
Also, maybe I'm just not a huge fan/student of the genre, but isn't Halo one of the first FPS games to use the "if you don't get injured for a short while, you regain your health" instead of the "pick up the health orbs on the ground to heal yourself" games?
You guys think you suck. I'm terrible!!! And what's worse is I still end up at halo night. Every wednesday like anywhere from 8 to 16 of my buddies get to gether and paly 4 on 4 on 4 and even on 4 sometimes. I hate it because every one there is amazing at the game and I run around like a chicken with it's head cut off. (Original ha?) I feel so dumb after it. The cool thing is it always ends in a fight or something.
I suck at multi-player. It's no fun getting sniped all the time.
But I do enjoy the Campaign mode. There's alot of action happening so it's fun to play. I hate flood levels though. The enemies just don't stop coming and it feels as if you'll never get to progress.
But I would never say Halo sucks. People like it cause it's fun.

I think you guys just suck at controlling the vehicles. Using both analogs works great.
Oh, yeah, Halo was the first to use the rechargeable shields which is used in quite a few FPS now.

They have controlling vehicles in Halo? I always just thought I was driving a camera around. Sure feels like I'm just fighting with a camera.
And you mean rechargeable shields on a console FPS right? Because like Starcraft did this, didn't it? And heck, you must mean without power-ups. Because how many FPSs before it used an armor system you could replenish.
Either way SWAT all the way. I abhor shields.
