Well, if you're talking about nintendo putting a brand new system out in two years, I don't see it happening. the Wii is the most popular and successful system this generation, having tied sales with the Xbox 360 that launched a year before it. It will pass the 360 when the new sale reports are published. average console lifetime is five years, not two. The Wii will not be dead in two years. cheaper, yes. dead, no.

I think he means like the DS & DS:LITE.

GCN didn't have it. Don't see why Wii will.

N64 never got a remodel either, and the NES and SNES remodels came out after the systems were pretty much dead.

Console remodels are pretty rare, whereas handheld remodels are pretty much run-of-the-mill.
