If you could own any original arcade game, which would it be?
Re: If you could own any original arcade game, which would it be?
I'm all with IRC on this one. I tried to buy the 6-player X-Men from an arcade that was going out of business many moons ago, but it had already been sold to a different arcade elsewhere.

Ah....that TMNT2 arcade machine that used to whup my ass when I was younger. I'd show it a thing or two! Oh, and those new pokemon machines in japan that are coming out or are already out. Those things look cool
Re: If you could own any original arcade game, which would it be?
I duuno about old, but for newish things:
My choice would either be The House of the Dead original, or a spin-off of Area 51 entitled Area 51: Site 4.
I'm not sure if I would get the second one, I love it (and I have Area 51 for PSX), but there's a arcade nearby that has it. Thing is, that arcade booted everything else that I like, including all the shooter games. Site 4 sits in a corner on the poorly illuminated (thankfully) second floor (which looks like something they were going to furnish but never had the funds), all alone save for a machine that plays Bust-a-Move, Metal Slug X, and a couple games I don't remember. When I go there I shovel tokens en masse into Site 4.
Recently I FINALLY beat the alien queen in a 90-second timed battle. Always before the timer would run out. When I beat it, the timer had like 2 seconds left, and I'd thought I'd lost until the creature's "eye" (if you can call it that, looks like a glowing green dome) exploded.
The drive to get a high score was the only thing preventing me from sinking to my knees from exhastion at that point. When I did get a high score, I got first place with 302,000 points. Second place had 73,000 points.

Did that Mario Kart arcade game ever come stateside? I'd likely go with it.
Or maybe Point Blank.
