I gotta make a level 100 team in pearl before I can get a team online or on PBR.

You don't have to. For online, all the Pokemon's levels are rounted up/down to Lv.50.

In PBR, I'm getting mixed signals, but I think the opponent's levels are equal to those of your highest-level Pokemon.

Can you at least unlock more clothing options for your trainers?

That's the way it was for the 2 stadium games (against computers of course)

Since I haven't played the game, I can't say that just a simple level boost can work for Online. because of the way pokemon can be leveled.

                  Re: Pokemon Battle Revolution

Here's an example: Say you're using a Mewtwo, a Pokemon that can only be obtainable at Lv.70. Regardless of its level, it will be rounded down to Lv.50 for online. It's the same for online battles in Diamond and Pearl, only you also have the option of rounding them up to Lv.100 in the DS games.

The Stadium games did not round your levels up or down in any way. There were different cups with different level requirements.

Also, yes, you can certainly unlock many more clothing options for your trainers. And in addition, when you beat the game, you can get the accessories of the Colosseum leaders.

                    Just dropping in....

I ran into a pretty cool Youtube PBR video in which the user's opponent successfully employs the Gluttony+Belly Drum Linoone strategy that RPG-13 recommended in the other topic.

                      Ah, good to know. Thanks!

It's on store shelves and I can't find one review. What gives?

Unless you really like Pokemon, it might not be the game for you.

They should have a review of it soon, though.

For those of you concerned about encountering hackers online, thar be good news! PBR has a very strict filtering system that will not allow any shifty Pokemon through, even if the captured location is a slight bit off.

However, this has no bearing on using an Action Replay to get the downloadable event items required to battle and catch Shaymin, Darkrai and Arceus, given the means of reaching them are not legitimate, but the Pokemon themselves are on the level.

Wait, so you only can have up to level 50 in PBR for online? Well that makes it easier I guess.

Also, yeah it never changed your level in the stadium games, it changed the computer's level. Say you have a 48, 45, and a 53 and the req is 40+ (or it was just the standered gyms where any level goes) or somthing all the computer's pokemon will be level 53.

                                Also, yay for strict filtering!
