Nintendo will probably pay them a settlement even if they know they'd win, it's easier, faster, and cheaper than going through the trial process. And there's always the chance of losing, like Sony learned with Immersion. Although, there a much less substantial cause of action here, you never know when you're going to get stuck with a judge or jury that doesn't feel like thinking.

Thats just dumb. Nintendo shouldnt let them push them around like this. I havent gotten the Wii yet, (I know... Its terrible... ) but I can say that the hardware seems to be worth more than that stupid mouse pointer thingy.

I read more on it on Joystiq or WiiFanboy or some such and you don't even point with it like the Wiimote, you control the device with the analog buttons and sliders on it. So other than the vauge physical resemblance it's nothing like the Wiimote at all. Nintendo probably won't bother to settle this after all. If Interlink pursues it, it'll just get tossed out. If not Nintendo can sue them for using the word Link in their name and it'll all even out.

How come Sony is still allowed to sell Dual Shocks? And wasn't it part of the lawsuit that Sony would not be allowed to sell any more games that utilized the Dual Shock, which was completely ridiculous.

It sickens me how corrupt ppl get over money. Personally I hate the stuff. You feel inadiquite if you don't have enough, you become what this company trying to sue Nintendo is when you have it. I'm pretty sure this company isn't going to go bankrupt because of Nintendo.

And if this goes through, it affects us... as gammers. As if taking E3 wasn't enough. When will the madness end?
