The Adventure of Ginger Breadman in the Kingdom of Sweets (illustrated short story)

Once upon a time, in the Kingdom of Sweets, lived a kind gingerbread man by the name of Ginger Breadman. He was a happy, kind man with a smile made from gumdrops and was always happy to help those in need.

All was well in the kingdom thanks to the efforts of Mr. Breadman. However, one fateful day, Ginger stepped into a puddle of toxic waste while on his neighborhood walk.

Soon, Ginger finds that his body going through changes. Perhaps your body has gone through some changes, too. You get bigger, stronger and faster than you've ever been before. Well, so did Ginger.

He decided that he would visit his good friend, Prince Lemon-Lime and give him a nice big "thank you" for the invite to the Palace of Sweets that he gave him last year.

Satisfied with the prince's response to his generosity, Mr. Breadman decided to call it a day. "I can barely wait for my next adventure", he thought to himself, as he made his weary way home.

You showed this on the Mag this morning and I loved it. I so love the little kid art style.

Hehehe... I never knew you had a cartoony side until you sent me that SH contest entry. This new work is a little strange, but certainly amusing.

              Thank you for the compliments!

Here's a little background on it:

Well, I created the picture of Ginger's change (pic 3) about two years ago. I was looking through my doodles folder, and thought to myself that I should expand the story. And what better way to explain his change than radioactivity?

Really, I just thought this would be a funny-ass story, so I made it, mainly for myself. But I decided to share it.

And I chose the children's book-style of storytelling because it just brings a nice juxaposition to the carnage in the images.
              There you have it.

Funny, random stuff, just how it should be.

Lol, Microsoft Paint never fails to amuse me.

It's like reading a fairy tale on acid. Awesome.

I still think it's funny that if you made an RPGM1 game out of this, you'd need a Lemon-Lime Sprite!

(I amuse myself to no end!!)

Is that joke supposed to mean one of the things you put on the Ginger Bread man?

Aww, you already made that joke at the Mag. It's not as funny this time.

Oh well, least everyone else here can enjoy it.

I REALLY thought someone here would think of it independently!
