Re: Do you believe in ghosts?

My belief mirrors what Valk said. Energy cannot be destroyed, just altered. Of course, the only exception is nuclear bombs...

There could be a such thing as "ghosts". And there could very well be a scientific explanation for them. I just think that we as a society have yet to be advanced enough to come up with a valid explanation. Or, perhaps, we as a species are too limited in our intelligence to ever come up with the answer and/or comprehend it. And thus; science and supernatural are what seem to be separate, but actually are not.

My opinions. Take them with a grain of salt if you will.

Energy cannot be destroyed, only changed, yadda yadda yadda, basic science.

You're altering the facts. 'Life' is not an energy source, but a state of being. Our life experiences, body image, and physical world relations aren't released as energy when we die. Our bodies are made up of a ton of energy-absorbing and energy-releasing cells. When we die, that energy is mostly released through heat.

      There is no 'soul', guys.

For some reason some people have seen 'ghosts'. I can't explain these occurrences, but our eyes and our minds are extremely gullible and prone to suggestion.

But when I see a ghost, I'll get back to you guys.

And just what do you have to proof your statement?

Re: Do you believe in ghosts?

I've proved a great deal to myself personally through initiation, ritual, and the act of forcing myself into a gnostic state. Until you go down that path, I can't really begin to explain to you any of this.

But regardless, that doesn't even count for proof when dealing with tightminded scientists in deathly pale labcoats.

              I lament our generation.

                A little bit of info.

                A little bit of speculation.

Come on, all of this information is readily available.

I've never seen any of you, therefore I choose to believe that none of you really exist. Unless of couse I actually see you myself, which will never happen. Score!

Oh please explain. I went through initiation, ritual, and the act of forcing myself into a gnostic state last weekend.

I suggest you read the works of Austin Osman Spare to start, mayhaps. Or look into Theosophy. Or Thelema.
Or whatever path you want. I could care less.

Changing the facts? Since what I said is only what I believed (aside from energy being destroyed in nuclear, since every science class I ever had stated that) what did I change?
