Why does the media do this?

I know this should be in the YouTube Goldmine topic, but this topic is more about the media then the clip.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DD80X9CXaw

Instead of focusing on the things he said they decided to focus on his reaction to the question.
The media turns into tabloid script when anyone acts like a real human being instead of a happy robot.

That's just how the media is. They focus on the evils and "realness" of the world instead of more important things. Like what the former president said.

The stuff I've read about it brings up both sides.

Saw that. He was actually really informative and answered the questions quite well. I was actually hoping to hear a response, but no...the media just mentioned how ****** he was in the interview. I did, though, see someone ask Condi about Clinton's statements, and she said something like "No, there was no plan given to us, but there was a series of suggestions of actions to take to find the terrorists." Well gee, that sounds kinda like a plan to me!

They said the same thing about it on the Daily Show.
