    Re: The BIG...BAD...DENTAL SURVEY!!!

    1. Do you still have all of your permanent teeth?

Yep, though one of them may still be a baby tooth I don't really remember.

    2. Do you still have or did you ever have wisdom teeth?

Nope had to have my removed. Man that was a fun day. First off they knock me out though they were not supposed to (I got the gas), though that was one of the coolest, and scariest experiences ever, still being conscience, listening to Nirvana. It was wierd, I could feel no part of my body, and was unable to see, smell, or touch, but I could still hear the music playing and was still able to think. So I come out of it thinking it's over (and drooling all over myself) but no it's not. So it wasn't all that bad, but ground tooth has to be one of the worst tasting things ever. Then when I went home we lived in a trailer at the time, and there was a tornado warning that day, so there I was mouth full of gause and blood huddle in the bathroom. Fun times.

    3. How often do you brush (if not too personal)?

Almost everyday. Some nights I forget to, but I never go more than two days.

    4. How often do you floss (if not too personal)?

I used to everyday but have stopped for a while. Once I get some mouth wash again I'll probably start flossing. It's normally a good idea to use mouth wash after flossing if you haven't flossed in a while.

    5. How many cavities do you have?

Not sure as I haven't been to the dentist in a few years. I'm thinking probably one to 3, as some teeth will hurt sometimes.

    6. Did you ever have braces?

Nope, though my front canines seem to have rotated about 90 degrees or so. A couple of molars are out of position, but other than that my teeth are pretty straight, though I do have a bit of an overbite.

    7. What is your favorite part of going to the dentist (if applicable)?

Nothing really, wish I never had to.

    8. What is your least favorite part of going to the dentist?

Deep cleanings, and the stupid metal plaque hook. I love it when there like hey your gums are bleeding, and I'm like O RLY, let me jab at your gums with a sharp metal instrument and see if they come out unscathed.

        1. Do you still have all of your permanent teeth?

four were removed because they needed to go before I could get my braces.

        2. Do you still have or did you ever have wisdom teeth?

I had all four of them removed, but I still have them... is it odd to keep your removed teeth in your underwear drawer?

        3. How often do you brush (if not too personal)?

        Br...rru...u....sh? What's that?

        J/K

        4. How often do you floss (if not too personal)?

When ever I'm pinned to the ground while summone forces the floss into my mouth. That never happens so I guess the answer would be never.

        5. How many cavities do you have?

None, unless if you mean body cavities.

        Did you ever have braces?

        Yes.

What is your favorite part of going to the dentist (if applicable)?

        Driving back home.

What is your least favorite part of going to the dentist?

The nasty stuff they use to clean your teeth with.

Oh yeah, another thing I don't like about dentists:

One time I was taking my X-rays, (I was like 11 at the time) the little tabs they put in your mouth to take the X-ray were too big for me, so they were trying to get the forced into my mouth, against my teeth.

It involved a lot of scraping and pain, but no blood. I don't bleed easily.

            1. Do you still have all of your permanent teeth?

I got one of my front teeth shattered in an accident involving a mini-golf (or putt putt, as I've heard it called) putter.

            2. Do you still have or did you ever have wisdom teeth?

Might have 'em hiding. Don't know.

            3. How often do you brush (if not too personal)?

I'm hoping to hit the twice a day mark, but I come so tired. The bathroom is much farther than the bed.

            4. How often do you floss (if not too personal)?

When I'm looking especially ugly in the mirror or when my girlfriend is in town.

            5. How many cavities do you have?

            I've had a few.

            6. Did you ever have braces?

Sure did. That was the longest year and a half of my life. By long year and a half I mean two and a half to three years, because honestly, some foods are not meant to be forgotten.

            7. What is your favorite part of going to the dentist (if applicable)?

When they tell me I can rinse.

            8. What is your least favorite part of going to the dentist?

I hate needles, and they love to numb your mouth sometimes.

              1. Do you still have all of your permanent teeth?
All, except for my wisdom teeth.

              2. Do you still have or did you ever have wisdom teeth?
I had 'em all taken out last winter. I stayed in bed the next two daya playing Jump Superstars and watching Toonami.

              3. How often do you brush (if not too personal)?
Twice a day, morning and night.

              4. How often do you floss (if not too personal)?
I never floss unless I actually feel somethign stuck between my teeth.

              5. How many cavities do you have?
Not one! Except, like something that was ALMOST a cavity that they put a sealant over.

              6. Did you ever have braces?
Yup. Two years, give or take.

              7. What is your favorite part of going to the dentist (if applicable)?
New tooth brush! And usually decent muzak.

              8. What is your least favorite part of going to the dentist?
Anything that involves choosing a flavor of something. They all taste like crap.

I also wear my retainer every night... ALMOST every night.

                Re: The BIG...BAD...DENTAL SURVEY!!!

                1. Do you still have all of your permanent teeth?

As far as I know of, yes.

                2. Do you still have or did you ever have wisdom teeth?

I'm not sure how many wisdom teeth I have, though I didn't get rid of them, nor do I ever intend to. I think one of them at least is partially under my gums. They don't hurt or anything, though.

                3. How often do you brush (if not too personal)?

Every day that I have church or have to go to work, or if there's some other important deal that goes on. Just the once a day, though. And there's plenty of days when nothing's going on that I pretty much forget.

                4. How often do you floss (if not too personal)?

Never. Too much work, and I have this irrational (maybe) fear that I'll burn/slice/whatever the gums between my teeth. I use mouthwash, though. (I prefer the type that burns, because then it feels like it's working. )

                5. How many cavities do you have?

I never had cavities that required me to go to the dentist, so I'm not sure. I know plenty of my teeth feel plenty deep, though that was because I didn't learn about cavities too well when I was younger. I was under the impression that cavities were something like a bug or virus or something that appeared and started chewing your tooth, resulting in much pain, and that brushing your teeth when you got it would kill it, and all would be good. So many moons passed without much brushing. Until I found out that a cavity was actually the hole itself, not the bacteria that caused the hole. Needless to say, I do get the occasional tooth ache, but usually a good brushing fixes those up real quick.

                6. Did you ever have braces?

Nope. I have crooked teeth (a few anyway), and I don't care. But they're not freakishly crooked anyway, which I think is the only time one should worry about getting braces.

                7. What is your favorite part of going to the dentist (if applicable)?
                8. What is your least favorite part of going to the dentist?

Can't really say. I only remember going to the dentist once, and that was because of this rock-hard piece of cereal I bit on that split one of my baby teeth in half. It wasn't too bad, luckily. Got a shot that numbed my gums, and had it pulled right out. Didn't hurt or anything (helped that I didn't even know that he was giving me a shot until after I got it), though I was of course a little worried throughout the process. Not sure if it even bled. The tooth was probably getting ready to come out, anyway.

Speaking of baby teeth, though, anybody else ever lose one of theirs by biting into a peanut butter sandwich?
(Yes, I let my teeth get that loose before taking them out. Didn't want a repeat of my first tooth loss. I found out that my tooth was loose, and I was immedately taken home to get it pulled out. Much pain and bleeding involved.)
Pardon my follishness, but what are wisdom teeth?
They're adult molars that come in somewhere around age 18, maybe later. They can be problematic when they come in for a lot of people. I had heard so many problems about them, I was naturally worried about getting them. Glad there hasn't been any problems. Or at least none that required a dentist trip.

                  Re: The BIG...BAD...DENTAL SURVEY!!!

                  1. Do you still have all of your permanent teeth?
                  Yeah, sans wisdom teeth.

                  2. Do you still have or did you ever have wisdom teeth?
I had four wisdom teeth that were all surgically extracted. I enjoyed the anesthetics.

                  3. How often do you brush (if not too personal)?
Once at the start of the day and almost always again before bed, and any other time my mouth feels gross.

                  4. How often do you floss (if not too personal)?
Only two or three times a week, or if I feel like I need to.

                  5. How many cavities do you have?
None. I had terrible dental hygiene when I was younger and my baby teeth (particularly my primary molars) seemed to always need a filling, which I hated. So that helped me develop a much better appreciation for avoiding cavities.

                  6. Did you ever have braces?
Yes, for a year prior to my freshman year of high school.

                  7. What is your favorite part of going to the dentist (if applicable)?
The super clean feeling afterwards and, like Rob, the floride taste.

                  8. What is your least favorite part of going to the dentist?
When, during the cleaning, the dentist doesn't completely rinse my mouth and I can still feel the nasty tasting toothpaste on my teeth.
