History of the Pavilion - Need your help!

I'm working on a new article that details the history of the site and forum, since we've had a pretty interesting run. I would like to know from the members of the community to let me know events they feel should be included, and offer any dates (even if just the month) that they can.

I wasnt that active for the first 7 months or so of the pavilion's life, so most details of what happened then are unknown to me.

Things I'm interested in:
Exact date the site opened (the forum opened before the site was complete)
Complete staff list and time periods they were active
First games on the site.
first.. anything.
Info on the garden, such as when it started and when it closed.

Feel free to add your own ideas.

Kire, if you have the site graphics from the first version of the site, please let me know. they're the only set I'm missing (yes, I plan on having site designs included)

If you know the old webaddress, theres always the chance somebody archived it.

I have no idea what the original address was. pavilion didnt have it's own domain name back then, and it was even before we moved to tripod. I think kire had it hosted on his college webspace or something.

Boy, I have forgotten the dates of when the Garden came about. But I remember it having the largest RPGM1 sprite database, with pics. Lot's of Sniffy's creations.

This is off topic: It bugs me that I can never find the topic where starba and mora badgered me into registering. it's easy to find posts where I was still unregistered, but impossible to find that specific one.

it probably was simply in a forum that didn't get archived. or it's there and you can't find it. doubt it was due to an attack.



seems like nothing that happened while i've been around is history. cause i was around for it.

After digging through archives, I found that the pavilion's first host was "ewebcity". This info likely isnt going to help us in any way.

Although I didnt actually register as a member untill last year, I started "lurking" frequently way back in 2000-2001(?) becuase the pavilion was mentioned in EGM for a contest. Sadly, I have scoured through all of my past EGM's and cant locate the article I am speaking of.

Does anyone have that particular issue and/or know what month(or#) it was?
