    I need a project subject.

    I've got to do this big research project for a class, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a subject for my paper. I was thinking about doing the use of steroids on the college campus for both athletic performance and cosmetic appearance. Another idea that crossed my mind was video game violence or violence in the media specifically dealing with how parents monitor and control their childrens exposure to such violent media. But the second one seems like it'd be too much for the amount of time I have to put into this.

    Any suggestions on a subject. It has to deal with public policy and the following topics are forbidden.

    Abortion
    The Death Penalty
    Gun Control Laws
    School Vouchers
    Creationism/Intelligent Design in Public Schools
    DWI
    The San Marcos Bar-Closure Times

    Also I have to turn in a project proposal tomorrow morning.

    Go.

      yeah but you have to be objective so that take the fun out of it.

        Do a case on whether pro athletes should be considered good role models for kids.

          That's actually rather interesting because our football team's quarterback is getting some major talk for actually getting drafted in the NFL this spring.

            Well, if you care to do one on oil dependence, you have practically half the material you need on these forums if you do a search.

            Other ideas:

            -Government spending
            -Iraq War
            -Abramoff scandal
            -Superbowl Advertising
            -Censorship(pornography, music, ect.)
            -Air Pollution
            -Genetic Engineering


            Lots of ideas...

                What defines art?
                Security vs. Liberties (i.e., recent wiretapping)
                Censorship (i.e., Google agreeing to censor search result for Chinese citizens)

                  A bit on whether Intelligent Design should be taught in a Science Class would be fun.

                  You could make the case for the return of Philosophy classes to grade schools. Comparative Religion classes are the place for such topics, but since those classes don't exist folks try to shove them up a Science Class' butt.

                  Remember... PhD stands NOT for Piled High and Deep (as many think) it stands for Philosopher's Degree.

                  Philosophy is therefore the hiighest academic standard, yet it is dropped from the early levels of Education.

                  What's Up With That?

                  Too bad it's banned. Maybe the Philosophy could act as a cover like the ID crowd does with biology.
