    Re: Kong

For the people who have seen this, do you think it would be suitable for me to take my son to it? He really wants to see it but I just need to know if there are any graphic scenes where people get killed. Especially kids and when Kong dies, is it really super sad?

      Re: Kong

I have no interest in seeing this movie.

I've already seen it before and know exactly what happens so what's the point?

Does that make me a weirdo?

        Not really, just unenthusiastic.

Nothing wrong with prefering fresh fruit to an artificially-enhanced potato.

Though, it couldn't hurt to take a peek sometime if you liked the original.

Of course, I did see Titanic eight times in the movie theater.

I think he would be OK with it, nothing in the movie is really that bad, there were some kids in the theatre I saw it in that I have pegged at about 8 years old (I am really ****ing bad at guessing ages though), and they looked like they had a good time on their way out.

But then again, that's my opinion, and I tend to be fairly easy-going on these kind of things. It's only a PG-13 rating though, I think it's for fantasy violence and disturbing* images, if memory serves.

*I really don't remember seeing anything in the movie that could qualify as "disturbing"

If you think he can handle the bug scene. Loads and loads of gross, humongous bugs and leeches trying to eat them. uuuuggggghhhhh

Man, when I was a kid I would have loved to see that.

It's a proven scientific fact that kids love looking at gross bugs.

                              DAMN YOU KONG!!!!

                              http://www.startribune.com/stories/484/5791998.html

MARBLE FALLS, Texas (AP) - A Roman Catholic priest accused of groping a 16-year-old boy at a movie theater during a showing of "King Kong'' has been charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact.

                                Oh, priests.

Snarf, if your boy is susceptible to nightmares I would just cover his eyes once the bugs start showing up. Seriously, that stuff gave me the creeps.

                                Leeches = nightmare fuel.

Also, Kong dispatches a T-rex in a pretty graphic bone-crunching, FRIGGIN' AWESOME manner. Otherwise, I'd totally tag him along.
