So dissapointing after Ultimate Spiderman. I just picked up the first three volumes of the compilation set. It's all wrong.
Do I really have to put up spoilers?
Jean Grey's a slut. She ends up in bed with Wolverine on like page two. Cyclops is a little *****(wait that's actully pretty accurate) who wines and quits. Yeah sure it's apparently all some kind of master plan but still. Professor X is actually willing to kill Magneto. Bobby Drake goes from being scared on a bus in one issue to freezing three senteniels in the next.
And worse is what they did to Wolverine. He starts out working for Magneto, is sent to kill Charles Xavier, with some bull**** excuse about his Weapon X training letting him shield his mind from Prof X while Magneto still has to wear his helmet. Then for no apparent reason other than it never occured to him that he didn't have listen to what Magneto said. What the ****. Maybe it's because I never actually read any of the X-men comics only read about them online. Or maybe because I think Hugh Jackman's portrayl of Wolverine in the movies should be the end all ****ing canon for how you do Wolverine. But this crap is ridiculous. Ultimate X-men is right up there with Xtreme Loonatics in my opinino. Gives me half a mind to put them to shame with some fanfiction. And I never in my life thought I'd ever even consider doing fanfiction. Even as a joke.
