I think getting 2000 people to just sit on the sidewalk in front of the white house or capital would be much more impressive than any amount of people chanting and waving signs. Imagine 2000 people just sitting there quietly not saying a word.

But sitting here complaing about how awful our existance is, definantly isn't doing anything at all. I just think it's sad that you guys think we have it so horrible -- when we don't.

I do stuff about it. When I get the chance, I protest. I've done it before outside the capital here.

I talk to people affected by the hurricanes every day. What the government said was going to happen (in terms of assistance) and what actually is happening is completely different. These people were told they would be able to get help, and the government LIED to them. I know it's off topic, but you want to know why I think this country sucks, we'll there's half of it. Our government isn't ever helping the people that need it. People that have no food, no shelter, NOTHING. They deserve something better than lies and empty promises.

I dont think you were off topic at all, Nixon. The topic mentions that one incident but it is mainly about whats wrong.

Understand me when I said what I said about comparing something like the Holocaust with what is going on here, today- there is no comparison. BUT, I hate what is going on with this country. Its bad because we are supposed to be great with all of these freedoms and how we help all of these other people in other countries and how the should be so envious of us and we cant even help ourselves...

We go to other countries and pretty much tell them how they should live. Our people who are over there, supposidly helping, are abusing that trust in the worst possible ways. That makes me sick and not proud to be an American. And nothing is done about it. All they say is that they are looking into it. We have a fascist who is forcing his own moral beliefs down everyone elses throat while he cant even get a handle on his own family's habits and behavior.

It's still no Holocaust (at least not on homeland). I just dont like people blowing things out of proportion. To me its an insult to the people who have truly been through hell and back.
