You rule, Kefka! That made my day.

EDIT: I guess it's permissible to reference a topic I made elsewhere in my own post.

Hey Perv how about steam cleaning your horrible carpet or using the thousands of dollars you have to get a recliner that doesn't look like it came from the 70s?

Other than that I'd probably be that guy who hangs out every day and basically moves in on your couch.

Yeah, that setup would be quite awesome if it weren't for the couch and carpet.

        Don't copy that floppy!

my favorite thing about perversion's setup is how every single game system's exhaust fan is completely blocked, except for the PS3 that's sucking carpet.

it's like the theme of the place is "almost fire".

Re: Who has the best geek set up?

Nah. My most important console (the 60 gig PS3) has plenty of ventilation. The Dreamcast does as well. The Xbox 360, the Xbox below it, and the PS2 with Soul Calibur skin to the left of those two are not even plugged in or connected. Basically, that's a temporary place for them. Things were spaced out more evenly before I got that massive amplifier next to the Wii.

Basically, as my amp and my receiver (and the 60 gig PS3) were gonna be the devices drawing the most power, I gave the three of those the most ventilation. And not all of those are turned on at the same time. At most, my PS3 is on consistently, one of the TVs is (only turned both on for the pic), and my receiver is on at all times. The amp is only on if I'm using the Samsung (which is most of the time, as it's my "everyday" TV).

And the PS3 on the floor is the 80 gig that I thought was a 60 gig that is currently suffering from the YLOD. I've got a Home Theatre Director surge protector under the receiver, a 15 minute battery backup surge protector next to the big sub in the left corner, a Monster surge I got from Circuit's going out of business sale, and 2 more surge protectors for the less important stuff. Only one of these is currently daisy-chained.

And about a year ago, one of my housemates put in 2 more power drops on a completely seperate line for the minifridge behind the couch and the space heater.

the PS3 with the Eye next to it has something sitting next to it on the right.

the right side of the PS3 is it's primary exhaust fan.

              plenty of ventilation?

Re: Who has the best geek set up?

If I remember correctly, the fan for the PS3 is on the bottom (indented) portion. I guess I figured as it's indented, there was SOME ventilation there.

But thanks for pointing that out, Valk. Gonna move that external HDD to the other side.

Valkysas, were your setup described in full detail, people would think you're kidding. It's like The Expendables. So much awesome in one place, it can't be true.
