      Re: Plastic Beach

the other music videos are fun to watch but passable. Mostly experimental shots, amateurish animations, a guy in his PJ's eating dancing Jellyfish, and a dancing wrecked pirate ship.

Deluxe edition does detail the story going on though.
      *** SPOILERS ***

Supposedly Murdoc got into shady business and wanted to relive the glory days of Demon Days, so he planned the new album, the kidnapping of 2D, and the mansion on Plastic Beach, which is the new Kong Studios. Noodle supposedly died in the El Manana vid, so Murdoc took her DNA, made her into a robot, loaded her with guns and made her his bodyguard (hence the bullet hole). Murdoc couldn't locate Russel, but figured he didn't need him and synthesized the drums instead.

      *** END SPOILERS ***

There's a little more, but it's cryptic and possibly spoiltastic. And I have a feeling there'll be more story-based music vids in the future on the plastic beach.

What kind of world are we living in when you can spoil the story of an album.

Also I had no idea Demon Days was supposed to have a story.

Yeah, Demon Days was Noodle's idea to get the band back together.

How is any of this borne out in the music

              Feel Good Inc.

Noodle flies in on an island of hope and beckons to her bandmates to make music again instead of submitting to their carnal desires.

But I guess it all depends on interpretation and a bit of 'imagination'.

Murdoc made the robot version of Noodles back in Demon Days, after she got sent to hell.

                GUESS YA KNOW THAT NOW
