I don't like fat people.
Anyone who has traveled the road of out-of-shape to in-shape knows one of the best feelings in the world is when people point out your progress when they see you. Despite several nay-sayers who convince themselves that they don't care about their appearance is either lying to themselves, or truly don't care and will not be convinced otherwise. But for everyone else, your appearance is who you are from your haircut down to matching socks. Now most things about your appearance surround your figure. People choose the way they dress to either highlight or hide their figure. So when you're in shape you find a sense of pride in your form and you dress to accentuate it. There is a self confidence, not arrogance that comes with it. You're pleased with what you've achieved and sometimes wish to flaunt it. Go ahead, show it off, you worked hard for it.
Another benefit is an increased energy level. As you strengthen your heart and body overall, you increase your total energy level which has a multitude of benefits to go with it. When you're out of shape your body feels sluggish and minute physical tasks can sometimes be painful.
Strength in several body functions will increase. You'll find activities that seem strenuous before are done little or no effort. You will strengthen muscles in every part of your body which will improve your posture and helps with back and neck pain. Being in shape also takes strain off of your joints as you lose weight and carry a lighter load.
The long-term benefits of being in shape are almost too many to count. People from all age groups have discovered the fitness revolution and its medical benefits.. Doctors constantly tell their patients to exercise and eat right. Physical therapy is a science of recovery in which various exercise routines are designed to train and strengthen.
There aren't too many negative points to being shape if any. The only complaint is usually time, which through modern training is no longer a concern. If you cannot commit at least three hours a week to your overall well being than you can live with the results.
