Grave of the Fireflies on DVD

[Perversion]

Randomly perusing Best Buy tonight, and came across this on DVD for $14.99. Apparently, it was released in 2009. I used to have a VHS copy that I had purchased from Blockbuster or something, or maybe some mom and pop video store that was going out of business, for like $4 probably a decade and a half ago now. It was stolen during the "bad times," along with most of my other VHS titles. I know this had been out of print forever, and the VHS was going for a ton online. Sadly enough, even though I owned the VHS, I think I only ever watched like ten minutes of it once.


I've not opened it yet, but is there any reason I should be wary, as in, it's a bad transfer/it'll soon be on Blu-Ray/etc?

that is definitely a movie you will want to watch over and over and over and is a great purchase

Yeah, the CPM re-release is a fine transfer, tons of special features, it's a great movie and won't be coming on Blu-Ray for a while.
